WHAT IS INVOLVED IN PAEDIATRIC PHYSIOTHERAPY TREATMENT?
Initial Assessment
Your paediatric physio will perform a thorough assessment of your child, set up short- and long-term goals and formulate the step-by-step physiotherapy treatment plan for your child.
The initial assessment consists of a series of questions relating to birth history, family history, development milestones and general information about your child’s likes and dislikes.
Treatment
Paediatric physiotherapy treatment involves active sessions utilising play therapy to achieve the goals set during the assessment phase. We recommend parents and/or guardians to be actively involved in treatment as a home program will be prescribed to ensure treatment is continued
